Super Duplex 32750 round bar is a high-strength stainless steel containing chromium and nickel. This alloy round bar is exceptionally durable and resistant to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion. It works well in demanding applications across industries like oil and gas, chemical processing, and marine engineering.
The main qualities that make this round bar suitable for severe environments are superior strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good weldability. UNS S32750 Hex Bar has a tensile strength of around 120,000 psi, twice that of conventional stainless steel. Duplex steels are also more sturdy than common austenitic or ferritic steels. Their structure is a balanced mix of the two types of grains.
As for corrosion protection, ASME SA276 Super Duplex 32750 Cold Drawn Bar performs better than 300 series grades in most media. The added nickel, chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen expand the passivity range to safeguard against pitting and cracking. The UNS number tells you the content levels – chromium is around 25%, nickel is between 6.5 and 8%, and moly is 4%. The result is far better erosion and abrasion resistance than 316, 317, 904L or 6mo steel.
Manufacturers widely use Super Duplex stainless steel round bars (ASTM A276 Super Duplex 32750 Bright Bar) for demanding conditions with pressure, chemicals and salt water that rapidly degrade regular 300 series grades. The applications cover oil lines, refinery heat exchangers, scrubber towers, vessels, pumps, valves, offshore platforms, rigs, and submarine pipelines. It allows longer service life, lower maintenance costs, and better safety margins than stainless steels.
